Installing Apple Loops onto iPad Garageband

We love the iPad and we were over the moon when Apple announced a version of Garageband for it.

As you will all know it is a fantastic app, one of the best iPad apps available. However it does have a few limitations.

The iPad app comes with around 250 inbuilt apple loops taken from the desktop version and various Jam Packs. This is not a large amount and any serious user of loops is going to get bored of them very quickly.

So how do we install more apple loops into the Loops Browser?

The short answer, with great difficulty.

Apple did include an import feature in the latest update however this only allowed the loops to imported one at a time at a project level rather than into the Loop Browser. There was also no way of previewing the loop during the import process.

This is frustrating for us as both users and producers of Apple Loops. Our loops are fully compatible with the iPad but we just can't get them installed in a user friendly and flexible way. We would love to be able to offer you a way to import our loops for use on iPad Garageband.

We are keeping our eyes peeled for a solution but I think we will just have to wait for Apple to fix the issue.
